Maharashtra Assembly polls: BJP scales down its demand for seats to salvage alliance with Shiv Sena

Shah spoke to Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and made a ‘very liberal offer’ of accepting 130 of the 288 seats. He also offered to accept the ‘worst possible seats’ which Sena has not won in the last 25 years of their alliance.
   
"Shah has spoken to Sena chief and that itself indicates that we are very very eager to have the alliance," BJP's general secretary in charge of Maharashtra Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.
   
"We are very keen that the alliance exists," Rudy told reporters on a day the party blew hot and cold on the alliance and said it is prepared to fight in the all 288 seats if it is "compelled" to break ties with Sena.
   
Thackeray had made it clear in Mumbai earlier that his final offer to BJP was 119 seats while Sena will fight 151 seats, leaving 18 for smaller allies.
   
Rejecting the proposal, Rudy said "it may not be possible" as BJP had contested 119 seats last time as well.
   
"We won't pull the plug. We are hopeful that a solution will be found. The general consensus (in party's Central Election Commission and Parliamentary Board meetings yesterday) was that we want to have an alliance and we should work for the alliance,” Rudy said.
   
"It would be very disheartening if we have to break the alliance, so the proposal has been made," he said.
   
The party has authorized Shah to publish the list of its candidates depending upon the fate of its alliance.

'Clean India' drive in Uttar Pradesh from 25th September

Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan, through a government order (GO), has issued directives to divisional commissioners, district magistrates, vice-chairpersons of development authorities, commissioners and officers of municipal boards besides city panchayats to ensure that urban areas are cleaned during the week-long mission.

Officials have been ordered to organize 'clean road and street day', 'clean schools and colleges day', 'clean hospitals day', 'clean toilets day', 'institutional cleanliness day', 'clean shops, hotels, restaurants, bakeries and eateries day'.

Ranjan has also instructed people to take pledge for cleanliness. Street plays, skits, media drives, drawing and essay competitions will also be held on cleanliness-focused programs, officials informed.

Authorities have been asked to make maximum use of "pamphlets, print, electronic and social media" to get across the message of cleanliness and hygiene.

Delhi Metro shuts down Race Course station

"As advised by the police, Race Course Metro station has been closed for public from 8.20 am till further directions," a Delhi Metro official said.

Additional Commissioner of Police S.B.S. Tyagi said: "Yes, we have asked the Delhi Metro to shut down the station. Let us see how the situation develops."He added that adequate barricading has also been done in view of the protests.

Singh, who will shift to a three-bedroom house in south Delhi has demanded to convert the 12, Tughlak Road bungalow occupied by him into a memorial dedicated to his father Charan Singh.

This had led to clashes between police and the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) workers on 19th September and left about 200 farmers and policemen injured.

Kashmir secretariat resumes functioning after 16 days

The Civil Secretariat, the state legislature complex and the High Court complex were inundated  on 7th September causing damage to the records kept in these institutions.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday morning visited all these sites to take stock of the latest situation. He directed the departments concerned to further intensify their efforts so that these institutions begin functioning normally as soon as possible.

He, along with various ministers and senior officials, reviewed the relief and rehabilitation work in a meeting he chaired in the secretariat.

Abdullah directed gearing up men and machinery at all levels to reach out to the affected people in all flood-hit areas. He said more attention should be paid to de-watering of water- logged areas particularly in Srinagar city.

Delhi government announces new circle rates

The revised rates in posh category A colonies, will be Rs 7,74,000 per square meter. The present rate is Rs 6,45,000 per square meter, said a government statement.

Colonies like Vasant Vihar, Jor Bagh, Friends Colony among other fall in the A category. In category B colonies, the present circle rate of Rs 2,04,600 per square meter will be revised to Rs 2,45,520 per square meter.

The category B colonies include Greater Kailash 1 and 2, Neeti Bagh, Hauz Khas, Green Park and others.

The revised circle rate in category C colonies will be Rs 1,59,840 against the prevailing rate of Rs 1,09,200 per square meter. Areas like Saket, Kailash Hills, East of Kailash belong to C category. In category D colonies, where the current circle rate is Rs 1,06,384, the revised rate will be Rs 1,27,680 per square meter.

In category E colonies, the prevailing circle rate of Rs 58,365 per square meter will be raised to Rs 70,080 while in category F colonies the present rate of Rs 47,140 will now be increased to Rs 56,640.The revised rates of category G colonies will be Rs 46,200. The prevailing rate is Rs.31,510 per square meter.

In category H colonies, the revised circle rate will be Rs 23,280 per square meter, from Rs 19,361 per square meter. The circle rates in Delhi were introduced July 17, 2007.

17 candidates file nomination papers for Haryana polls

On Sunday, the first day of filing nominations, five candidates filed their papers. Among the candidates who filed nominations today are Independents Manoj Kumar from Ambala City, Lal Singh and Jai Chand Chauhan from Jagadhari.
   
National Jan Shakti Party candidate Ramnik Singh filed nominations from Ladwa Assembly constituency in Kurukshetra district while Socialist Unity Centre of India Communist (SUCIC) Party's Mahavir Singh submitted papers from Pundri seat in Kaithal, and SUCIC's Harish from Rohtak.
   
Independent candidate Attar Lal filed nominations from Ateli Assembly constituency in Mahendergarh district.
   
Walgad said that the last date for filing nomination papers is September 27 and the candidates could file their nomination papers between 11 am and 3 pm.
   
The scrutiny of nomination papers would be carried out on September 29 and candidates would be able to withdraw their candidature by October 1.
   
Polling will be held on October 15 and counting would be held on October 19. About 1.61 crore voters would cast their votes at 16,244 polling stations to be set up in the state.
   
In the last Assembly elections, Congress won 40 seats, INLD 31, BJP 4, HJC-BL 6, SAD and BSP one each and Independents seven.
   
Though Bhupinder Singh Hooda had failed to lead the Congress to a majority in 2009, Congress formed the government for the second term with the support of five of the six HJC-BL members and seven Independents.
   
Haryana is set to witness a multi-corner contest with key players Congress, BJP, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP), BSP, Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC)-Jan Chetna Manch (JCM) alliance all set to cross swords in the battle of ballots.

AP CM concludes Polavaram discussions with Chhattisgarh CM

"Polavaram is a very important project and the Andhra Pradesh government has already spent Rs 6,000 crore on it. Hence we requested the Chhattisgarh government to co-operate (with AP) in constructing it. We have allayed their apprehensions about submergence of villages on their side and assured that the best rehabilitation and resettlement package will be given," Chandrababu told reporters after returning to Hyderabad on Monday.

He recalled that the then states of (undivided) Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, along with Orissa, had signed two agreements in 1978 and 1980 about the Polavaram project on Godavari river by constructing a protective embankment along areas facing likely to be submerged.

"I have explained to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh about the agreements and also that Polavaram has now been declared a national project. In fact, the Central Water Commission, Planning Commission, forest and environmental clearances were given to Polavaram based on the 1978 and 1980 agreements between the three states. The national project status was also conferred, based on the same agreements," Naidu said.

"Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh said a case is pending in the Supreme Court against Polavaram, but since it's a very crucial project and all clearances have been granted, I requested his government not to object and to co-operate in completing the project. I also told him that a liberal rehabilitation package will be offered," the AP Chief Minister said.

BJP may contest all seats in Maharashtra, says Rajiv Pratap Rudy

The statement from Rajiv Pratap Rudy, BJP's General Secretary in charge of Maharashtra, came on a day when impasse over seat-sharing between both parties persisted with BJP leaders charging Sena with making no concrete offers but just talking of a seat-sharing formula through TV channels.

"In a contingent situation that the BJP is compelled not to contest with Shiv Sena, we would go it alone on all 288 seats but we will prefer that Shiv Sena comes along," Rudy told reporters.

Party sources said they have prepared a list of candidates for a majority of seats barring "20-30" where they were still looking for appropriate names or expecting leaders from other parties to join them.

"We are not in favour of breaking the alliance. But we are also not in a mood of tolerating their (Sena) uncompromising attitude. There can be flexibility but we are getting to hear their proposals only on news channels," a BJP leader said.

Thackeray had made it clear in Mumbai yesterday that his final offer to BJP was 119 seats while Sena will fight 151 seats, leaving 18 for smaller allies. BJP, which had said both parties fight 135 seats each, had rejected the proposal.

BJP is also cold to the idea of projecting Thackeray as the chief ministerial candidate of the alliance.

There were reports that BJP President Amit Shah spoke to Thackeray today and urged him to reconsider his stand on seat-sharing. But party leaders declined to confirm that Shah made any such call even as they said "messengers" of top leaders of both parties are in touch.

Shah is believed to have spoken to Thackeray yesterday when the party held its Central Election Committee and Parliamentary Board meeting.

Both the meetings, which had gone on for over three hours, were attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah, both of whom spent some time together separately, and other leaders.

Later, Rudy told reporters that BJP was willing to contest 130 seats, five less than its earlier claim of 135 constituencies.

He said they have sent "a very liberal proposal" to Sena as the 130 seats include the "worst" possible seats which its ally had never won in last 30 years.

"The fact is that the proposal which has been given and conversation which has taken place with BJP President (Amit Shah).... a very liberal proposal has been sent to Shiv Sena.

"The other seats which we are demanding are those which Sena has never won in last 30 years. We have said... give us the worst possible seats but give us the numbers," he said.

Though this is the first time BJP has officially come down on its demand but its leaders had been conveying to Sena leadership that they were willing to settle around 130 seats, a demand it has rejected so far.

Maharashtra polls: Rane backs tie-up with NCP, says Congress' first list on 25th September

However, Rane, the party's assembly poll campaign in-charge, parried questions on the current logjam over seat-sharing between Congress and NCP.
   
Stating that it (seat-sharing issue) was for Congress to decide, the Industries Minister said "the alliance would be good for both the parties."
   
Rane, who was in the city to guide a divisional level rally of Congress workers, was addressing mediapersons here.
   
The Congress leader had earlier said in Aurangabad that his party was ready to give 124 seats (out of the 288 seats of Maharashtra assembly) to NCP.
   
Taking a dig at Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Rane said he couldn't be a candidate for Chief Ministership. "A man who cannot not even speak properly can't be an aspirant for chief ministership," quipped the Shiv Sainik-turned-Congressman.
   
Asked about Congress' stand over the demand for separate statehood to Vidarbha, he said the party was not against it.
   
However, BJP was making it a poll plank because it wants to come to power.
   
Rejecting suggestions of a "Modi wave", he said "if Modi is a wave, we are the sea. Waves come and go, the sea remains," he said while claiming that Congress-NCP combine would come back to power in the state.
   
Criticising the Narendra Modi-led government, he said there were no "achchhe din" (good days) for farmers in the country ever since Modi came to power.
   
Neither Shiv Sena nor BJP keeps promises made to people, Rane alleged.
   
To a question on heavy taxation in Maharashtra, the Industries Minister said taxes were high because the living standard of people in the state was high as compared to Gujarat.

CBI arrests Odisha's former advocate general in chitfund scam

Mohanty was picked up from his residence in Cuttack, sources said adding the former advocate general was immediately taken to hospital for medical check up.
   
"Truth will ultimately come out. God and guru are my witnesses. As per my conscience, I have not committed any wrong," Mohanty told reporters while being taken inside CBI's
state headquarters here.
   
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had accepted Mohanty's resignation as the AG just a day before his interrogation by the CBI here on September 13.
   
Mohanty had claimed that he has no link with Artha Tatwa Group other than purchasing a house from its CMD Pradip Sethi.
   
The former advocate general also claimed to have showed bank documents to CBI officials in regard to payment. However, he was arrested exactly 10 days after his interrogation.
   
Earlier, Mohanty had denied allegation that he received a house in Cuttack from AT Group as a gift. "I haven't got it free. I have paid Sethi Rs 1,01,00,000 (one crore and one lakh) by cheque through my lone SBI bank account. I have handed over all papers to the CBI," he said.
   
Meanwhile, a local court here today deferred hearing on the bail application of Manoj Dash, the owner of a private television channel, till September 24. Dash was in judicial custody for his alleged involvement with AT Group.
   
Dash had allegedly taken Rs 90 lakh from AT Group CMD Pradip Sethi for leasing out bandwidth for operating six television channels in the tele ports owned by him.
   
On the other hand, Sethi had claimed during interrogation by the CBI that Dash had taken the money as a loan from him and had not returned it.

Jayalalithaa launches four more Amma canteens

She launched the canteen at the Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital for Mother and Children by lighting a 'kuthuvilakku' (lamp) and also served food to some people there.

Jayalalithaa tasted the food items to ensure their quality and instructed the Women's Self-Help Group (SHG) involved in running the canteen to adhere to quality standards since the items would be consumed by patients and their relatives.

She also inaugurated such canteens, where food items are sold at prices ranging from Re 1 and Rs 5, at three other government hospitals, an official release said here.

'Amma Unavagam' (Amma Canteen) is a low-cost eatery named after Jayalalithaa. She is addressed as 'Amma' (Mother) by her supporters.

The Amma Canteen concept involves selling food items such as sambar rice, curd rice, lemon rice, idly and chapatis at very low rates and is aimed at benefiting the  working class population, including daily wage labourers.

Government representatives from Egypt, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan, among others, have visited the canteens with a view to exploring the possibility of implementing a similar scheme in their states.

CBI grills Congress MP Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury

Chowdhury, who represents West Bengal's Malda South Lok Sabha constituency and is brother of late Congress leader Ghani Khan Chowdhury, was subject to interrogation for nearly three hours by the Special Crime Branch of CBI probing the multi-crore Saradha scam.
   
CBI sources said that Chowdhury was asked why he withdrew his letter to the PM, to which he replied, "I did that because these firms, including Saradha, were doing real estate business and not working as chit funds raising money from the public."
   
The sources said that he might be again subject to interrogation if the agency felt it was needed.

BJP names candidate for Odisha by-poll

The polling in the constituency will take place on15th October. "Rudra Madhab Ray will be our candidate from Kandhamal. The central election committee of the party has approved his name," a senior BJP leader said.

The 77-year-old was named the party candidate a day after he joined the BJP.

Ray was a member of the state legislative assembly for three terms between 1990 and 2009 before being elected to the Lok Sabha on a Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ticket in 2009.

The BJD, however, denied him a ticket in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and later suspended him for anti-party activities.

The by-poll in Kandhamal was necessitated following the death of BJD's Hemendra Chandra Singh.

Former BJD MP joins BJP ahead of Kandhamal by-poll

Ray, who was earlier suspended from the BJD, joined BJP along with his supporters in the presence of state party president K V Singhdeo, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, party's Odisha in-charge Arun Singh and senior leaders.

Singhdeo formally announced the entry of the ex-MP into the BJP fold.

"I will work as an active member of BJP and ensure the defeat of BJD in the forthcoming by-election in Kandhamal," Ray said soon after joining the BJP.

Hitting out at BJD, the former MP alleged corruption was rampant during BJD rule which was marked by dictatorial and authoritarian practices.

Ray, who represented Kandhamal in the Lok Sabha after being elected in the 2009 polls as a BJD candidate, was suspended from the ruling outfit for anti-party activities and was accused of working against the BJD after being denied a party ticket for the 2014 LS elections.

With Ray joining the party, speculation was rife in political circles about the possibility of him being fielded as BJP candidate for the Kandhamal by-election.

In a related development, senior BJP leader Bijay Mohapatra was appointed the campaign committee chairman of the BJP for the by-election in its state executive meeting on Sunday, a party statement said.

The by-election in Kandhamal was necessitated following the death of Hemendra Chandra Singh, who had won the seat in 4 elections as a BJD nominee.

West Bengal government committed to development of MSME sector: Amit Mitra

"The government is seriously committed to the development of the of the MSME sector as this is the only avenue to generate huge job opportunities," Mitra said at the AGM of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce here.

He said there are about 5,000 registered MSME units in the state and numerous in the unorganized sector.

The registered units are employing more than 30,000 people, while lakhs are engaged in the unorganized sector, Mitra said.

He said the state had witnessed better growth in overall SDP, industry, agriculture and services as compared to the national average despite the huge debt burden.

On Friday night, speaking at the AGM of Indian Tea Association (ITA), Mitra had said the state was ready to extend support to the growth of the tea industry as the production volumes generated here was 240 million kg out of the total production of 1,000 million kg per annum.

Give North East share of China's investment to India: Tarun Gogoi

"North East (NE) is a part of India. Give importance to NE and Assam. We are neighbours of China. In fact, we have cultural similarities with China," Gogoi told reporters here.

"Billions of dollar of Chinese investments have been announced for Gujarat and Assam should get a share of it”, he said.

"We do not have any problem in investment in Gujarat. We should also get a share of China's investment in India considering the importance of this region with the neighbouring country. NE and Assam should also develop along with the rest of India," he added.

The Chief Minister also expressed dissatisfaction over the Centre not raising the issue of construction of big dams on Brahmaputra river in China during talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jinping.

On the issue of north east people reportedly being asked to stay away from the main venue during an event of Jinping at a luxury hotel in Ahmedabad, Gogoi said, "It is an insult to the north east. They doubted us as if we are not patriots. "

He also emphasised the need to resolve India's border dispute with China ‘without compromising the dignity and security’ of the country.

During President Jinping's visit, China committed USD 20 billion investment over the next five years and agreed to provide greater market access to Indian products in farm, pharma and gems and jewellery sectors with a view to reducing the large trade gap with India.

The 'Five-year Trade and Economic Development Plan' was signed by Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her Chinese counterpart Gao Hucheng in the presence of Modi and Jinping.

Maharashtra polls: MNS announces slogan for its vision document

The campaign tagline "Ho, Hey Shakya Aahe" (Yes, it is possible), similar to US President Barack Obama's famous "Yes we can" slogan that he had used while campaigning for Presidential polls in 2008, was announced by Raj here.

Raj's campaign poster also reads: "Let us create a Maharashtra that the world will envy".

According to party insiders, the "blueprint of Maharashtra's development, which was finalised after eight years since the inception of the parry, will focus on empowerment of women, industrialisation, agriculture, transportation and irrigation.

With the MNS coming out of the shell it has gone into after its crushing defeat in Lok Sabha polls, the political scenario in the poll-bound state is likely to hot up.

Shiv Sena, the bete noire of MNS, had come up with the slogan, "UTha Maharashtra' (Wake up Maharashtra) in August after its alliance partner BJP's massive victory on the successful use of "NaMo" slogan. The "UT" in Sena's slogan is abbreviation of the party president Uddhav Thackeray's name.

The role of MNS will be keenly watched as the alliance partners Sena-BJP and ruling Congress-NCP are teetering on a breakpoint over number of seats to contest.

In its electoral debut in 2009, MNS polled over 1.5 lakh votes in each of the 12 Lok Sabha seats it had contested and bagged 13 seats in the Assembly elections in that year.

However, in recently-held Lok Sabha elections, all its candidates lost their deposits in ten seats the party had contested, mainly due to Modi wave, with a vote share of mere 0.13 percent.

Congress-NCP deadlock on seat sharing continues

"We have held discussion on all seats," said Madhusudan Mistry, AICC general secretary in-charge of the Central Election Committee after a meeting of the top election body chaired by party President Sonia Gandhi discussed the issue in detail here.

Mistry, however, parried questions on an alliance with the NCP, which has so far not budged from its demand of 144 of the 288 seats in Maharashtra Assembly on a 50:50 formulae.

"Chief Minister, PCC President, the General Secretary in-charge and the high command will sit together and decide what has to be done with the alliance. I have no idea," he said when pressed on whether the Congress-NCP alliance will continue or not.

Keeping the suspense over the tie up, he said, "Ask me about seats and not alliance".

To a question on how many names have been finalised  and when can the first list be issued, he merely said, "We will tell you."

Sources in the party, however, said no list is likely to be announced and the party would wait for the Core Committee meeting of the NCP in Maharashtra.

While NCP Vice President Praful Patel had on Sunday said that his party stood by its original demand for 144 Assembly seats and its core committee in Mumbai will take a final call, Maharashtra Congress President Manikrao Thakre had maintained that Congress was willing to give its ally a few seats but if it remains ‘inclined’ towards a particular number then things ‘will not work out’.

However, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi on Monday expressed confidence that the two parties will have an alliance.

"I certainly do not think that it will be a four- cornered contest. At the best it will be three-cornered because we are going to have an alliance," he said replying to questions.

A noble step to empower women in Gujarat

Vadodara District Magistrate Avantika Singh said that a similar exercise took place during raksha bandhan. The move gives the women a platform not only to show their talent but also to earn livelihood.

Empowering women and making them financially independent are the brain-child of state's first Chief Minister Anandiben Patel.

Surat Mayor Niranjan Zanzmera said that the earnings made by women will entirely go to them and the state government will not be charging any fee for the installation of stalls.

Uddhav meets Sena leaders to finalise candidates' list

According to a Sena leader, the meetings were attended by party MPs and senior leaders.

Though the leader termed the development as "routine meetings to finalise candidates", they came against the backdrop of tough posturing by both the Sena and BJP over finalisation of seats to contest the polls.

The alliance between Sena and BJP is teetering on the brink over disagreement on sharing of seats.

The leader said that there has been no word from the BJP over Sena's "final" proposal of keeping 151 seats for itself and offer of 119 seats to BJP and rest to smaller allies who are constituents of 'Mahayuti' (grand alliance).

Maharashtra Assembly has 288 seats.

Shiv Sena had contested 169 seats and BJP 119 in 2009 Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, representatives of Rashtriya Samaj Party and Swabhimani Shektari Sanghtana - both constituents of 'Mahayuti' met Uddhav to discuss the fate of the alliance amid growing anxiety in political circles over continuation of the saffron coalition.

Sadabhau Khot of Swabhimani Shetkari Sangthana told after meeting the Sena chief that efforts are on to save the alliance. "We will meet BJP leaders tomorrow to find a solution," he added.

Time is running out for the saffron alliance of 25 years in the run-up to elections which are less than a month away, with September 27 being the last date for filing of nominations.

Against the backdrop of haggling over sealing the deal on seat-sharing, Shiv Sena offered a take-it-or-leave-it formula of 119 seats which BJP has termed as being "nothing new".

Gujarat govt launches helpline to build toilets at home

As per the new initiative, anyone in Valsad district can just give a ring on the toll free number 1800-200-1004 in order to seek government's help in building a toilet at home, an official press release.

During the launch, Patel thanked the industrial houses and voluntary organisations of the nearby Valsad and Vapi towns for donating Rs five crore to build toilets. Patel also inaugurated an exhibition of about 40 cost-effective models of toilets.

Patel handed over 15,000 acres of forest land titles, worth approximately Rs 100 crore to 7,000 families of six tribal districts of south Gujarat.

She also distributed assistance worth Rs 11 crore to 4,370 beneficiaries and Rs 66.40 lakh to five women-run milk co-operative societies to buy cattle, the release said.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the state government was committed to make tribals financially self-reliant and bring them into the mainstream.

Russian forces are ‘facilitating the movement and then helping the separatists to use the weapons, if not using it themselves in support of separatists’ John Kirby, Pentagon press secretary said.

Kirby called Russian actions an ‘intensification’ of the behaviours the Kremlin has exhibited for months.

“We continue to look for ways to reassure our NATO allies and partners, and we continue to call for Russia to pull its forces back and to stop escalating the tension there,” the spokesman added.

The accusation came a day after the UN Security Council warned of a dangerous escalation of the Ukraine crisis as illegal armed groups in Ukraine "reportedly intensified their activities over the last two days."

Russia, however, rejected those reports and accused Kiev of torpedoing all political agreements on resolving the crisis in Ukraine.

“The current escalation of crisis in the southeast of Ukraine is a direct consequence of the reckless policy of Kiev, which is conducting war against its own people,” said Vitaly Churkin, Russia's ambassador to the UN.

The five-month-old conflict between government troops and pro-independence militias has killed more than 2,000 people in eastern and southeastern Ukraine.

Experimental US hypersonic weapon destroyed seconds after launch

The weapon is part of a program to create a missile that will destroy targets anywhere on Earth within an hour of getting data and permission to launch.

The mission was aborted to ensure public safety, and no one was injured in the incident, which occurred shortly after 4 am EDT (0800 GMT) at the Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska, said Maureen Schumann, a spokeswoman for the US defense department.

"We had to terminate," Schumann said. "The weapon exploded during takeoff and fell back down in the range complex," she added.

The incident caused an undetermined amount of damage to the launch facility, Schumann said.

It was a setback for the US program, which some analysts see as countering the growing development of ballistic missiles by Iran and North Korea but others say is part of an arms race with China, which tested a hypersonic system in January.

Riki Ellison, founder of the nonprofit Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance, said he did not think Monday's failure would lead to the program's termination. "This is such an important mission and there is promise in this technology," he said.

He said officials aborted the mission after detecting a fault in the computers.

Anthony Cordesman, a defense analyst at the Center for Strategic and International Studies think tank, said the technology was best suited for use against smaller, less-developed countries with missiles.

"The United States has never assumed that these ... are going to be systems that you can use against a power like China by themselves," he said. "For a country like Iran or North Korea, they could be a very significant deterrent."

James Acton, a defense analyst at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said the Pentagon had never been clear about the mission for the weapon, with some viewing it as an effective tool against terrorists and others seeing it as a counter to China or Iran and North Korea.

While hypersonic weapons are unlikely to be fielded for a decade, Acton said the fact that Washington and Beijing were both testing the weapons indicated there was a real potential for an arms race.

"I believe the US program is significantly more sophisticated than the Chinese program," he said.

The weapon, known as the Advanced Hypersonic Weapon, was developed by Sandia National Laboratory and the US Army. Mr Schumann said it included a glide body mounted on a three-stage, solid-propellant booster system known as STARS, for Strategic Target System.

In a previous test in November 2011, the craft had successfully flown from Hawaii to the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, she said. On Monday, it was supposed to fly from Alaska to the Kwajalein Atoll.

Acton said no conclusions could be drawn about the weapon based on Monday's accident because the launcher detonated before the glide vehicle could be deployed.

Map not part of MoUs signed with China: Gujarat on Congress's charge

"The map is showing the location of Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City in China. The map was neither signed by any officials of the Gujarat government nor endorsed by Government of Gujarat. The map shows the location and the other data such as geographical area, population, per capita, etc. The map was not part of the MoU signed," the state government said in a statement issued in the evening.

The clarification came after Congress launched a scathing attack on the Modi government while voicing its concerns over repeated Chinese incursions.

"In this MoU, Arunachal Pradesh has been shown as a disputed territory. The Prime Minister should apologise for this major lapse and blunder," party general secretary Ajay Maken said on his blog.

He was referring to a meeting on September 17 in Ahmedabad in which three MoUs were signed between the government of Gujarat and Gaundang province of China in the presence of Modi during which the Additional Chief Secretary of the state D Pandian had distributed a handout showing map
of Gaundong province.

Raising a question, Maken has said, "whether in the MoU too, has this particular map (showing Arunachal Pradesh as disputed territory) been shown."

Congress demands statement from PM Modi on Chinese incursions

The party also demanded an ‘apology’ from the Prime Minister alleging that an official of the Gujarat government, while signing three MoUs with a province of China in the national capital in the presence of Modi a few days back, had distributed a handout showing Arunachal Pradesh as a disputed territory.
   
"Now the question arises whether in the MoU too, has this particular map (showing Arunachal Pradesh as disputed territory) been shown. Modi during his election campaign in Arunachal Pradesh made rhetorical speech and promised that he will not allow the country to bow down and and will not allow even an inch of the country's land to go away.
   
"In this MoU, Arunachal Pradesh has been shown as a disputed territory. The Prime Minister should apologise for this major lapse and blunder," party general secretary Ajay Maken said on his blog.

Accusing the government of "treating a very serious issue lightly", Singhvi rued that there is "no statement either from the Prime Minister or anybody else sufficiently senior and high in government hierarchy".
   
"We demand that the Prime Minister must make a proper statement on the issue and unequivocally and firmly write to the Chinese President a strongly worded letter, which should be made public," Singhvi said, asking Modi to "walk the talk".

After 6 year of explosive in kakori

काकोरी नगर पंचायत के हौदा तालाब पर वर्ष 2008 में अवैध पटाखा फैक्ट्री में हुए विस्फोट हुआ था। हादसे में भट्ठा टोला निवासी पुन्नी का भाई सुनील (14) की मौत हो गई थी और चार साल की मासूम बहन सुमन, माता-पिता और भाई हरिकेश व पुन्नी गंभीर रूप से झुलस गए थे। इस घटना को याद कर आज भी पुन्नी और उसका पूरा परिवार सिहर उठते हैं।

पुन्नी का कहना है कि उस दिन फैक्ट्री में उसका ही परिवार काम पर गया था। सहालग होने के कारण पटाखों का निर्माण हो रहा था। पटाखा जिस कोठरी में बनाए जा रहे थे वह पूरी तरह से बंद थी। यहां करीब 80 किलो को विस्फोटक ड्रम में रखा था। हादसा कैसे हुआ कुछ समझ नहीं आया और कोठरी में धुआं भर जाने से दरवाजा ढृ़ंढे ही नहीं मिला। पुन्नी का कहना है कि हादसे के बाद उसने और परिवार के अन्य लोगों ने इस खतरनाक काम से तौबा कर ली। सभी लोग अलग-अलग मजदूरी करते हैं। उधर मुआवजे को लेकर भी पुन्नी का कहना है कि उसे किसी प्रकार का मुआवजा नहीं मिला।

नहीं बंद हुआ अवैध कारोबार

पुन्नी के साथ हुए हादसे के बाद भी अवैध कारोबारियों ने सबक नहीं लिया। कारोबारी उसी स्थान पर अभी तक जमा हुआ है। विस्फोट के बाद कुछ समय कोठरी में ताला लगा दिया गया, लेकिन पुलिस की जांच पड़ताल बंद होते ही अवैध फैक्ट्री फिर से आबाद हो गई।

यहां भी बनते हैं पटाखे

सरोजनीनगर क्षेत्र के कई गांवों में चोरी छिपे पटाखे बनाने का काम होता है। पुलिस और प्रशासन से नजर बचाकर बंथरा और काकोरी के सीमावर्ती कुछ गांवों में यह कारोबार खूब होता है। हालांकि इन गांवों में अधिकतर बने बनाए पटाखे मोहनलालगंज, मोहान क्षेत्र से आते हैं।

Woman sets self, three daughters on fire in Tamil Nadu

दक्षिण भारत के रामनाथपुरम जिले की एक 38 वर्षीय महिला ने अपनी तीन बेटियों सहित खुद को आग लगा ली जिसमें तीनों बेटियों की मौत हो गई। महिला अब भी अस्पताल में जिंदगी से लड़ रही है। तीनों बेटियों की उम्र 10 से 18 साल के बीच बताई जा रही है।

पुलिस अधिकारियों के मुताबिक महिला ने अपने रिक्शा चालक शराबी पति से तंग आकर यह कदम उठाया। उनके मुताबिक महिला ने पेट्रोल छिड़ककर तीनों बेटियों सहित खुद को आग लगा ली। इस घटना में दो बेटियों की मौत मौके पर ही हो गई तथा तीसरी बेटी की मौत अस्पताल ले जाने के क्रम में हुई। महिला की हालत अब भी गंभीर बताई जा रही है।

आप हर महीने अपने मोबाइल का बिल जरूर चुकाते होंगे। कुछ लोगों का मोबाइल बिल सैकड़ों में होता है तो कुछ लोगों का हजारों में। ऐसे कम ही लोग होंगे जिनका मोबाइल बिल लाखों में आता हो। लेकिन जब मोबाइल बिल करोड़ों में आ जाए तो फिर आप क्या करेंगे। हैरान हो गए न। जी हां ऑस्ट्रेलिया में एक शख्स ऐसा है जिसका मोबाइल बिल करोड़ों में आया है।

दरअसल ऑस्ट्रेलिया में एक शख्स का फोन चोरी हो गया था उसके बाद जो बिल आया उसें देखकर उसकी आंखे फटी की फटी रह गई। इस फोन का बिल आया 5 लाख ऑस्ट्रेलियन डॉलर यानि लगभग 2 करोड़ 72 लाख रूपये। हालांकि यह मामला तब दुनिया के सामने आया जब इस बिल से परेशान होकर फोन के मालिक ने ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टेलीकॉम लोकपाल के पास इसकी शिकायत दर्ज कराई। जैसे ही फोन चोरी हुआ यह शख्स उसकी चोरी रिपोर्ट लिखवा चुका था। टेलीकॉम सेवा प्रदाता कंपनी इस ग्राहक से बिल चुकता करने को लेकर अड़ी हुई थी।

मामला जोर पकड़ने पर जब इस फोन की कॉल की जांच की गई तो और भी ज्यादा चौंकाने वाले सच सामने आएं। चोरी होने के बाद इस फोन से ज्यादातर कॉल सोमालिया की गई थी। शिकायतकर्ता ने बताया कि उसका फोन उसके बेटे के पास से चोरी हुआ था, जब वह वह यूरोप घूमने गया था। दरअसल इन दोनों महादेशों के टाइमजोन में फर्क होने की वजह से चोरी होने की शिकायत घटना के एक दिन बाद दर्ज हो पाई। लेकिन जब ऑस्ट्रेलिया में इस फोन का बिल 2 करोड़ 72 लाख आया तो इस शख्स के पैरों तले की जमीन खिसक गई। हालांकि मामले में राहत की बात ये रही कि टेलीकॉम लोकपाल के हस्तक्षेप के बाद कंपनी ने इस ग्राहक का बिल माफ कर दिया।

गौरतलब है कि ऑस्ट्रेलिया में फोन की रोमिंग दरें बहुत महंगी हैं। ओईसीडी संगठन की 2011 में आई एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक रोमिंग दरों के मामले में ऑस्ट्रेलिया दुनिया के सबसे महंगे देशों में से एक है। हालांकि यूरोपियन यूनियन ने इस साल एक फैसले में कहा है कि रोमिंग दरों को यूरोपीय देशों में कम किया जाना चाहिए, लेकिन टेलीकॉम कंपनियों की ओर से इस फैसले का विरोध किया जा रहा है।

भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के जोरदार स्वागत के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र (यूएन) मुख्यालय और व्हाइट हाउस के सामने बड़ी रैलियां आयोजित करने की योजना है। उनकी तीन दिवसीय अमेरिका यात्रा से पहले भारतीय मूल के सैकड़ों अमेरिकियों ने न्यूयॉर्क स्थित यूएन मुख्यालय और वाशिंगटन में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति के सामने मोदी का जोरदार स्वागत करने के लिए हाथ मिलाया है।

मोदी 27 सितंबर को पहली बार यूएन महासभा को संबोधित करेंगे। इस दिन मुख्यालय के सामने 'अमेरिका वेलकम्स मोदी' रैली की योजना बनाई जा रही है। आयोजक रैली में शामिल होने वाले लोगों के लिए बड़े बैनर, पोस्टर और अमेरिका वेलकम्स मोदी लिखे टी शर्ट बांटने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। इसी प्रकार भारतीय मूल के बहुत से अमेरिकी वाशिंगटन में 30 सितंबर को व्हाइट हाउस के सामने स्वागत रैली की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। इसी दिन मोदी अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा से मुलाकात करेंगे। न्यूयॉर्क में रैली का आयोजन इंडियन अमेरिकन इंटलेक्चुएल फोरम द्वारा कई अन्य संगठनों के साथ मिलकर किया जाना है। जबकि ह्वाइट हाउस के सामने रैली की योजना यूएस इंडिया डेमोक्रेसी फोरम ने बनाई है।

वहीं सीनेट 30 सितंबर को भारत-अमेरिका साझेदारी दिवस नाम देना चाहती है। अमेरिकी संसद के ऊपरी सदन सीनेट ने सर्वसम्मति से उस प्रस्ताव को पास कर दिया है जिसमें 30 सितंबर को भारत-अमेरिका साझेदारी दिवस नाम देने की बात कही गई है। इसी दिन मोदी ह्वाइट हाउस का दौरा करेंगे। यह प्रस्ताव मार्क आर वारनर और जॉन कॉर्निन द्वारा लाया गया था। वारनर के कार्यालय की ओर से जारी बयान के मुताबिक प्रस्ताव में 21वीं सदी में स्थिरता, लोकतंत्र और आर्थिक समृद्धि को बढ़ावा देने के लिए दोनों देशों के बीच बढ़ते सहयोग के महत्व पर जोर दिया गया है।

अफगानिस्तान के नए राष्ट्रपति अशरफ गनी होंगे जो अब्दुल्ला अब्दुल्ला द्वारा नामित मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) के साथ सत्ता साझा करेंगे। सत्ता साझा करने के समझौते पर रविवार को दोनों उम्मीदवारों ने हस्ताक्षर किए। इसके साथ ही विवादित राष्ट्रपति चुनाव नतीजों को लेकर लंबे समय से जारी गतिरोध समाप्त हो गया है।

मतों की गिनती के अंतिम नतीजे भी अब जारी कर दिए जाएंगे। नतीजों को गतिरोध के चलते अंतिम समय में टाल दिया गया था। समझौते के अनुसार, जून में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव के निर्णायक चरण के विजेता अशरफ गनी राष्ट्रपति बनेंगे। जबकि सीईओ का एक नया पद सृजित जाएगा जिस पर अब्दुल्ला अब्दुल्ला द्वारा नामित व्यक्ति विराजमान होगा, जिसके पास प्रधानमंत्री के बराबर अधिकार होंगे। दोनों गनी और अब्दुल्ला ने चुनाव जीतने के दावे किए थे। संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने 1990 के दशक के गृहयुद्ध जैसे हालात दोबारा न उत्पन्न हों, इसके लिए एक 'राष्ट्रीय एकता सरकार' के लिए काफी प्रयास किए। दोनों उम्मीदवारों ने राष्ट्रपति भवन में आयोजित समारोह में समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इसके बाद एक-दूसरे को गले लगाया। इस दौरान मौजूद निर्वतमान राष्ट्रपति हामिद करजई ने दोनों को बधाई दी। इस समारोह का राष्ट्रीय टेलीविजन पर सीधा प्रसारण किया गया। करजई के प्रवक्ता ऐमल फैजी ने बताया कि उम्मीद है कि गनी एक सप्ताह के भीतर राष्ट्रपति के रूप में शपथ ग्रहण करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि गनी का पहला कार्य अमेरिका के साथ लंबित द्विपक्षीय सुरक्षा समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने का होगा, जिससे 2014 के बाद विदेशी सैनिकों के छोटे बल को अफगानिस्तान में रहने की इजाजत होगी। इस साल के आखिर में अमेरिका के नेतृत्व में सैनिकों की तालिबान के खिलाफ 13 साल से जारी जंग समाप्त होने वाली है।

बांग्लादेश के विदेश मंत्री अबुल हसन महमूद अली ने यहां विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज के साथ तीसरे परामर्श आयोग की अध्यक्षता करने के बाद कहा कि उनकी सरकार विशेष आíथक क्षेत्र बनाने के लिए देश में भारतीय कंपनियों को जमीन देगी। उन्होंने कहा कि बांग्लादेश भारत का अच्छा दोस्त बनना चाहता है। अली ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के साथ बैठक का उल्लेख करते हुए मीडिया से कहा कि मोदी ने जिस तरीके से बंगबंधु शेख मुजीबुर्रहमान और उनकी पुत्री एवं प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना के बांग्लादेश के प्रति योगदान की प्रशंसा की उससे वे अभिभूत हैं।

उन्होंने कहा कि जब मैंने बंगबंधु की हत्या के बाद बांग्लादेश के इतिहास और शेख हसीना की वापसी का उल्लेख किया तो प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि बंगबंधु ने देश का निर्माण किया और उनकी पुत्री शेख हसीना ने उसे संजोया। यह पूछे जाने पर कि बांग्लादेश की जेल में बंद उल्फा नेता अनूप चेतिया को भारत कब प्रत्यर्पित किया जाएगा तो उन्होंने कहा कि यह जल्दी होगा।

डेलीमेल के मुताबिक यह चौंकाने वाला अजीबोगरीब मामला चीन के शंघाई का है। जहां शोंगझियांग यूनिवर्सिटी के एक छात्र ने एप्पल आइफोन 6 खरीदने के लिए अपनी अपनी गर्लंफ्रेंड को किराए पर देने की पेशकस की है। आइफोन के दीवाने इस छात्र ने इस बारे में सोशल मीडिया पर विज्ञापन भी दिया। इतना ही नहीं ये छात्र कॉलेज कैंपस में भी बैनर लगा कर इसका विज्ञापन कर रहा है।

इस खबर में सबसे दिलचस्प बात ये है कि आइफोन 6 खरीदने के लिए इस छात्र ने अपनी गर्लफ्रेंड को किराए पर देने के लिए उसका रेट भी फिक्स कर दिया है। छात्र ने घंटे, दिन और महीने के हिसाब से रेट तय कर बैनर पर लिख दिया है। इसकी रेट लिस्ट के मुताबिक गर्लफ्रेंड को एक घंटे के लिए किराए पर ले जाने के लिए 10 चीनी येन, एक दिन के लिए 50 चीनी येन और एक महीने के लिए 500 चीनी येन देने होंगे।

आपको ये जानकर हैरानी होगी कि चीन में इस तरह के मामले अक्सर सुनने को मिलते रहते हैं। इससे पहले भी एक स्कूली छात्र ने आइफोन के लिए अपनी किडनी बेच दी थी, वहीं एक कपल ने अपनी नवजात बच्ची तक को बेच डाला था।

New Zealand election: third term win of national team

न्यूजीलैंड के प्रधानमंत्री जॉन की' की नेशनल पार्टी ने आम चुनावों में लगातार तीसरी बार जीत हासिल की है। जॉन की ने इस जीत को 'सबसे ज्यादा सुखद परिणाम' बताया।

नेशनल पार्टी ने चुनाव में 121 में 61 पर जीत हासिल की है, 2011 में पार्टी के पास 59 सीटें ही थीं। यही नहीं, इन चुनावों में पार्टी का वोट प्रतिशत भी 2011 के 47.31 से बढ़कर 48.06 हो गया है।

भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की तीन दिवसीय अमेरिका यात्रा से पहले भारतीय मूल के सैकड़ों अमेरिकियों ने न्यूयॉर्क स्थित संयुक्त राष्ट्र मुख्यालय और वाशिंगटन में ह्वाइट हाउस के सामने उनका जोरदार स्वागत करने के लिए हाथ मिलाया है।

मोदी 27 सितंबर को पहली बार संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा को संबोधित करेंगे। इस दिन संयुक्त राष्ट्र मुख्यालय के सामने 'अमेरिका वेलकम्स मोदी' रैली की योजना बनाई जा रही है। आयोजक रैली में शामिल होने वाले लोगों के लिए बडे़ बैनर, पोस्टर और अमेरिका वेलकम्स मोदी लिखे टी शर्ट बांटने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। इसी प्रकार भारतीय मूल के बहुत से अमेरिकी वाशिंगटन में 30 सितंबर को ह्वाइट हाउस के सामने स्वागत रैली की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। इसी दिन मोदी अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा से मुलाकात करेंगे। न्यूयॉर्क में रैली का आयोजन इंडियन अमेरिकन इंटलेक्च्वल फोरम द्वारा कई अन्य संगठनों के साथ मिलकर किया जाएगा। जबकि ह्वाइट हाउस के सामने रैली की योजना यूएस इंडिया डेमोक्रेसी फोरम ने बनाई है।

भारत-अमेरिका साझेदारी दिवस नाम देना चाहती है सीनेट

अमेरिकी संसद के ऊपरी सदन सीनेट ने सर्वसम्मति से उस प्रस्ताव को पास कर दिया है जिसमें 30 सितंबर को भारत-अमेरिका साझेदारी दिवस नाम देने की बात कही गई है। इसी दिन भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ह्वाइट हाउस का दौरा करेंगे। यह प्रस्ताव मार्क आर वारनर और जॉन कॉर्निन द्वारा लाया गया था। वारनर के कार्यालय की ओर से जारी बयान के मुताबिक प्रस्ताव में 21वीं सदी में स्थिरता, लोकतंत्र और आर्थिक समृद्धि को बढ़ावा देने के लिए दोनों देशों के बीच बढ़ते सहयोग के महत्व पर जोर दिया गया है।

जी हां, ईरान की राजधानी तेहरान में अमरीकी गायक फेरेल विलियम्स के गीत 'हैप्पी' पर थिरकने के लिए छह ईरानी युवाओं को 91 कोड़े और एक वर्ष के जेल की सजा सुनाई गई है। हालांकि उन्हें अभी ये सजा दी नहीं गई है। उनके वकील का कहना है कि यह सजा तीन वर्ष के लिए निलंबित रखी गई है। यानी उन्हें तब तक जेल नहीं होगी जब तक वे दोबारा आदेश का उल्लंघन नहीं करते।

ईरान में महिला और पुरुषों का एक साथ डांस करना और महिलाओं का बिना स्कार्फ के लोगों के सामने आना इस्लामी कानून का उल्लंघन माना जाता है।

समाचार एजेंसी ईरान वायर ने वकील फर्शीद रफूगरन के हवाले से कहा कि वीडियो में दिखने वाले अधिकांश लोगों को छह महीने और केवल एक सदस्य को एक साल की सजा सुनाई गई है। वहीं इस वर्ष ऑस्कर के लिए नामित इस गीत के गायक फेरेल विलियम्स ने इस घटना पर कहा कि लोगों को ख़ुशी फैलाने के लिए गिरफ्तार करना दुखद है।

Mayawati's angry on Swami Prasad controversial statement

बहुजन समाज पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव तथा विधानसभा में बसपा के नेता सदन स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य के विवादित बयान से पार्टी ने किनारा कर लिया है। पार्टी की राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मायावती ने उनके बयान को स्वामी प्रसाद का निजी बयान बताया है। माना जा रहा है कि पार्टी स्वामी प्रसाद के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई करने की योजना बना रही है।

बसपा सुप्रीमो मायावती ने एक बयान में कहा है कि स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्या ने जो कुछ भी कहा है यह उनकी निजी राय है। पार्टी का इससे कुछ भी लेना नहीं है। बसपा सोशल इंजीनियरिंग के फार्मूले पर काम कर रही है। सभी वर्ग के लोगों को साथ लेकर चलने वाली पार्टी सभी वर्ग का ख्याल रखती है। बसपा ने स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्या से इस बाबत स्पष्टीकरण भी मांगा है। माना जा रहा है उनके खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई होना तय है।

स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य ने कल लखनऊ के मड़ियाव क्षेत्र में कर्पूरी ठाकुर भागीदारी सम्मेलन में कहा था कि आप लोग शादियों में किसी भी भगवान की पूजा न करें। गौरी-गणेश की पूजा तो बिल्कुल न करें। ऐसी पूजा कराना मनुवादियों की साजिश है। यह सब वर्ण व्यवस्था के आधार पर हमारे समाज को बांटने की कोशिश हिंदू धर्म के कुछ ठेकेदारों ने की है, जिसका परिणाम है कि निचले तबके के लोग दबे ही रह गए। इससे भी आगे बढ़ते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि हिंदू धर्म की इस व्यवस्था की वजह से ही संविधान के निर्माता डॉ.भीमराव अंबेडकर ने बौद्ध धर्म धारण कर लिया था।

उन्होंने सभी से कर्पूरी ठाकुर के आदर्शो पर चलने का आह्वान किया और कहा कि बसपा ही अति पिछड़ों को सम्मान देती है। कुछ पार्टियां अति पिछड़ों को अनुसूचित जाति में शामिल करने के नाम पर उन्हें गुमराह कर रही हैं। सिर्फ बसपा में ही पिछड़े वर्ग के लोगों का सम्मान सुरक्षित है।

इंग्लैंड में पांच टेस्ट मैच के बाद एकदिवसीय मैचों की सीरीज व एक टी20 मैच खेलकर मोहम्मद शमी शुक्रवार को अपने गांव सहसपुर अलीनगर पहुंचे थे। शनिवार को उन्होंने कश्मीर बाढ़ पीडि़तों के लिए मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष को 51 हजार रुपये का चेक भेजा। उन्होंने कहा कि जम्मू-कश्मीर के लोगों पर आई विपदा की इस घड़ी में देशभर के लोगों को उनके साथ आना चाहिए। शनिवार रात को वह दिल्ली रवाना हो गए। इससे पहले जागरण से हुई बातचीत में उन्होंने कहा कि इंग्लैंड दौरा उनके लिए काफी अहम रहा। वहां की पिचों से काफी कुछ सीखने को मिला। अब उनकी नजर अगले वर्ष होने वाले विश्वकप पर टिकी है। इसी को ध्यान में रखकर वह गेंदबाजी में और धार लाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।

Minister's missing pup traced; police face flak

दो दिन से लापता मंत्री जी के कुत्ते के मिलने के बाद स्थानीय पुलिस ने राहत की सांस ली है। वहीं, तीन दिन पहले हुए चित्रकूट सामूहिक दुष्कर्म के आरोपियों के गिरफ्त के बाहर होने और लापता कुत्ते की तलाश में अपनी ताकत झोंकने की वजह से पुलिस की कड़ी आलोचना हो रही है।

चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य मंत्री राजेंद्र सिंह राठौड़ के सरकारी आवास से शनिवार को गायब हुआ उनका कुत्ता चार्ली सोमवार सुबह मिल गया। राठौड़ के सरकारी आवास पर तैनात एक कर्मचारी ने चार्ली के खोने पर रविवार को सोडाला थाने में गुमशुदगी की शिकायत दी थी, जिसके बाद पुलिस सक्रिय हो गई थी।

राठौड़ के सरकारी आवास पर तैनात एक कर्मचारी सुरेश ने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि एक अधेड़ व्यक्ति चार्ली को 'शनिवार को सड़क पर देखकर उसे आवारा समझकर उसकी देखभाल के लिए अपने घर ले गया था, समाचार पत्रों में इस बारे में प्रकाशित समाचार को पढ़कर वह व्यक्ति चार्ली को लेकर बंगले पर पंहुचा था ।'

चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य मंत्री राजेंद्र राठौड़ अपने सरकारी आवास पर जन समस्या सुनने में व्यस्त होने के कारण इस बारे में बातचीत के लिए उपलब्ध नहीं हुए। सोडाला थाने में ड्यूटी अधिकारी एएसआई सत्यपाल ने कहा कि उन्हें इस बारे में जानकारी नहीं है।

वहीं, राजस्थान प्रदेश कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता डॉ अर्चना शर्मा ने आरोप लगाया कि राजधानी में तीन दिन पहले चित्रकूट में हुई डकैती और डकैतों द्वारा घर में मौजूद महिला से सामूहिक दुष्कर्म की घटना के अपराधी और शनिवार को एक सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी के आवास पर हुई लाखों रुपये की चोरी के आरोपी गिरफ्त से बाहर हैं, जबकि पुलिस कल दिनभर चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य मंत्री राजेंद्र राठौड़ के गुम हुए कुत्ते को ढूंढती रही।

Decision on Congress-NCP seat-sharing deadlock today

कांग्रेस व राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी (राकांपा) के बीच महाराष्ट्र में सीटों के बंटवारे को लेकर महाभारत थम नहीं रहा है। एक-एक सीट के लिए कड़ी सौदेबाजी कर रही दोनों पार्टियां सामने वाले के झुकने के इंतजार में हैं। इस बीच दोनों पार्टियों ने एक बार फिर गठबंधन तोड़कर 'एकला चलो' की राह अख्तियार करने की धमकी दी है। इस पर एनसीपी नेता सुप्रिया सुले ने ट्वीट कर कहा है कि कांग्रेस के साथ सीटों के बंटवारे को लेकर कोई झगड़ा नहीं है। दोनों ही पार्टियां एक ही तरह की हैं। जिनका डीएनए भी एक जैसा है। अगर महाराष्ट्र की सभी चार प्रमुख पार्टियां अलग-अलग होकर चुनाव लड़ें तो यह विचार भी बुरा नहीं है। इससे राजनीतिक घरानों से ताल्लुक रखने वाले लोगों को टिकट पाने में आसानी तो होगी, लेकिन साथ-साथ ही पार्टियों के गर्त में जाने की शुरुआत भी हो जाएगी। मैं भी गुटबाजी की शिकार हो चुकी हूं।

महाराष्ट्र में सीटों के बंटवारे को कांग्रेस राकांपा के बीच चल रही बातचीत में दोनों दलों के अड़े रहने से गतिरोध आ गया है। हालांकि, पर्दे के पीछे से बातचीत जारी है। राकांपा की मांग है कि दोनों दल बराबर सीटों पर चुनाव लड़े। कांग्रेस ने एक बार फिर स्पष्ट किया है कि वह राकांपा को 125 से अधिक सीटें नहीं दे सकती। वहीं राकांपा ने कांग्रेस को कहा है कि गठबंधन बचाने के लिए इस बार उसे कुछ और आगे बढ़ना होगा। गौरतलब है कि 288 सीटों वाली महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा में पिछली बार बंटवारे में राकांपा को 124 सीटें मिली थीं। कांग्रेस ने इस बार राकांपा को 125 सीटें देने की बात कही है। पार्टी ने कहा है कि राकांपा के रूख पर अड़े रहने की स्थिति में कांग्रेस विधानसभा चुनाव में अकेले उतरेगी। सूत्रों के मुताबिक कांग्रेस आलाकमान ने स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि गठबंधन के लिए पार्टी एक सीमा से आगे राकांपा के दबाव में नहीं आएगी।

हालांकि, राज्य के मौजूदा राजनीतिक हालात के मद्देनजर पार्टी ने 125 सीटों की सीमा को अंतिम नहीं माना है। महाराष्ट्र कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ने रविवार को कहा कि उनकी पार्टी अपनी सहयोगी राकांपा को कुछ और सीटें देने को इच्छुक हैं लेकिन यदि इसके बाद भी वह एक खास संख्या को लेकर अड़ी रही तो बात नहीं बनेगी। महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री पृथ्वीराज चह्वाण ने भी राकांपा नेता प्रफुल पटेल को संवाददाता सम्मेलन के जरिये 144 सीटें मांगने पर यह कहकर झिड़की लगाई है कि इस तरह की चर्चाएं संवाददाता सम्मेलन के जरिये नहीं होतीं।

मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए है भाजपा-शिवसेना की तकरार: राणे

कांग्रेस नेता व महाराष्ट्र के उद्योग मंत्री नारायण राणे ने रविवार को कहा कि भाजपा-शिवसेना में सीट बंटवारे की लड़ाई मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए है। उन्होंने कहा, दोनों ही दलों के पास राज्य में सीएम पद के लायक कोई चेहरा नहीं है।

औरंगाबाद में पत्रकारों से बातचीत में राणे बोले, 'दोनों ही दलों के पास राज्य का नेतृत्व करने लायक चेहरा नहीं है, भाजपा-शिवसेना के बीच यह लड़ाई निजी और स्वार्थ से प्रेरित है।' उन्होंने कहा, कांग्रेस के पास ऐसे आधा दर्जन नेता हैं जिनमें राज्य का नेतृत्व करने की काबिलियत है। यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि कांग्रेस-राकांपा के बीच सीट बंटवारे का तनाव सीटों की संख्या के कारण है, मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए नहीं। उन्होंने कहा, कांग्रेस राज्य की 288 सीटों में से राकांपा को 124 सीट देने पर सहमत है। राणे ने कहा, 'कांग्रेस उम्मीदवारों की पहली सूची दो दिनों में जारी हो जाएगी। मेरी निजी राय है कि कांग्रेस-राकांपा का गठबंधन राज्य के साथ दोनों दलों के लिए भी हितकारी है।'

SP may clear air on Amar at 3-day meet in Oct

लंबे समय से अमर सिंह की सपा में वापसी की हवा लखनऊ में आठ से दस अक्टूबर तक होने वाले समाजवादी पार्टी के तीन दिनी राष्ट्रीय अधिवेशन में थम सकती है। माना जा रहा है कि जनेश्वर मिश्र पार्क में होने वाले इस अधिवेशन में सपा के पूर्व राष्ट्रीय महासचिव के पार्टी में वापसी पर चर्चा हो सकती है, हालांकि यह मुद्दा पार्टी के अधिवेशन के एजेंडा में फिलहाल नहीं है। इस पार्क के उद्घाटन समारोह में अमर सिंह ने सपा सुप्रीमो के साथ मंच साझा किया था।

राष्ट्रीय अधिवेशन की तैयारी की पहली बैठक पांच कालिदास मार्ग पर कल मुख्यमंत्री और सपा के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव की अध्यक्षता में हुई, जिसमें स्वागत समिति, आवास समिति, आवागमन समिति, भोजन और सजावट समिति बनाई गयी। बैठक में सरकार के वरिष्ठ मंत्री शिवपाल सिंह यादव और राजेन्द्र चौधरी के अलावा लखनऊ के सभी सपा विधायक, पूर्व विधायक, जिलाध्यक्ष, महानगर अध्यक्ष व महासचिव व जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष समेत 36 पदाधिकारियों ने भाग लिया। लखनऊ को खूबसूरत ढंग से सपा के झंडे व बैनर से सजाने की जिम्मेदारी सजावट समिति को दी गयी। पार्टी के विधायकों की अगुआई में गठित की गईं समितियों में सात से आठ सदस्य शामिल किए गए हैं। जिलाध्यक्ष और महानगर अध्यक्ष समेत संगठन को निगरानी की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गयी है।

उपलब्धियों का आकलन करेगी सपा

उपचुनाव में भारी सफलता से उत्साहित सपा सोमवार को अपनी उपलब्धियों का आकलन करेगी। जो सीटें उसके हाथ से निकल गयी उसके कारणों की तलाश होगी। सपा सफलता के लिए कार्यकर्ताओं की पीठ भी थपथपायेगी। सपा मुख्यालय पर आज समीक्षा बैठक में सपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मुलायम सिंह यादव और मुख्यमंत्री व प्रदेश अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव समेत कई प्रमुख लोग भाग लेंगे। बैठक में अगले चुनाव की रणनीति भी तैयार होगी।

देवरिया में बनेगा मोहन सिंह न्यास

सपा के पूर्व महासचिव और सांसद मोहन सिंह की कल पहली पुण्य तिथि पर उनके गृह जिला देवरिया में मोहन सिंह न्यास की स्थापना होगी। इस आयोजन में विधानसभा अध्यक्ष माता प्रसाद पाण्डेय, प्रदेश सरकार के लोकनिर्माण और सिंचाई मंत्री शिवपाल सिंह यादव भाग लेंगे। मोहन सिंह के छात्र जीवन से जुड़े प्रमुख लोगों को भी आमंत्रित किया गया है।

NASA's MAVEN enters Mars orbit

आगामी 24 सितंबर को भारतीय मंगलयान के लाल ग्रह की कक्षा में प्रवेश करने से पहले इसरो सोमवार को अहम 'चौथे पथ संशोधन कार्य' व अंतरिक्ष यान के प्रमुख लिक्विड इंजन के प्रायोगिक परीक्षण के लिए तैयार है।

440 न्यूटन लिक्विड अपोजी मोटर (एलएएम) इंजन पिछले 300 दिनों से सुप्तावस्था (आइडल मोड) में है। इसका परीक्षण लगभग चार सेकेंड के लिए किया जाएगा। इस परीक्षण की सफलता से मंगलयान के मंगल की कक्षा में प्रवेश को लेकर इसरो के आत्मविश्वास में इजाफा होगा। इसरो के एक शीर्ष अधिकारी ने बताया कि हम चौथे पथ संशोधन कार्य और प्रमुख लिक्विड इंजन के परीक्षण के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार हैं। इसके लिए अंतरिक्ष यान को कमांड (निर्देश) दिए जा चुके हैं और इनकी जांच भी की जा चुकी है।

उन्होंने कहा कि एलएएम इंजन का प्रायोगिक परीक्षण एक इम्तिहान की तरह है। इसे 24 सितंबर को मंगल की कक्षा में प्रवेश के लिए लंबी अवधि के लिए सक्रिय किया जाना है।'

इंजन का प्रायोगिक परीक्षण लगभग 0.567 किग्रा ईधन की खपत के साथ 3.968 सेकेंड के लिए 2.142 मीटर प्रति सेकेंड की गति से किया जाएगा।

इसरो ने कहा कि यदि सोमवार को इस परीक्षण में कोई समस्या आती है तो वह अपने प्लान बी के साथ तैयार है। इसके तहत आठ प्रक्षेपकों को लंबी अवधि के लिए छोड़ा जाएगा, जो संभवत: ज्यादा ईधन की खपत करेंगे और यान को मंगल की कक्षा में प्रवेश कराने की कोशिश करेंगे।

मंगल अभियान भारत का पहला अंतरग्रही अभियान है। इसे 5 नवंबर 2013 को आंध्रप्रदेश के श्रीहरिकोटा से धु्रवीय उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण यान (पीएसएलवी) सी-25 की मदद से प्रक्षेपित किया गया था। सोमवार को यह मंगल के प्रभावक्षेत्र में प्रवेश करने वाला है।

नासा का यान भी मंगल के करीब पहुंचा:

नासा का अंतरिक्ष यान मंगल ग्रह की परिक्रमा के लिए तैयार है। यह यान मंगल ग्रह के ऊपरी वातावरण का अध्ययन करने और समय के साथ इसकी जलवायु के बदलने के कारणों का पता लगाएगा।

18 नवंबर 2013 को लांच मार्स एट्मास्फेयर एंड वोलाटाइल इवोल्यूशन (मावेन) नाम का यह अंतरिक्ष यान अपने अंतिम चरण में है। भारतीय समयानुसार यह यान सोमवार की सुबह सात बजे से पृथ्वी के पड़ोसी ग्रह के चक्कर लगाना शुरू कर देगा। यह यान मनुष्यों को मंगल ग्रह तक पहुंचने के लिए मार्ग प्रशस्त करने में सहायक होगा। वैज्ञानिक उम्मीद कर रहे हैं कि शायद 2030 तक मनुष्य मंगल पर पहुंच सके।

पिछले साल अपनी यात्रा शुरू करने के बाद से यह मानव-रहित अंतरिक्ष यान मावेन 71.1 करोड़ किलोमीटर की यात्रा तय कर चुका है। मंगल की परिक्रमा शुरू करने के बाद मावेन छह हफ्तों के परीक्षण के चरण में पहुंच जाएगा। इस चरण के पूरा होने के बाद यह मंगल के ऊपरी वातावरण की गैसों के अध्ययन के एक साल के अभियान में जुटेगा। इस दौरान यह मंगल की सतह से 3,730 मील की दूरी पर रहेगा। हालांकि मंगल के वातावरण के विभिन्न स्तरों की जांच के लिए यह पांच बार मंगल की सतह की ओर गोता लगाएगा। इन गोतों के दौरान इसकी दूरी मंगल की सतह से मात्र 78 मील के लगभग रहेगी।

20 हजार डॉलर का मार्स चैलेंज:

अंतरिक्ष के अध्ययन के प्रति रुचि रखने वालों के लिए शानदार मौका है। नासा ने ऐसे छोटे अंतरिक्ष उपकरणों के डिजाइन आइडिया के लिए 20 हजार डॉलर के पुरस्कार की घोषणा की है जिसका वजन मंगल के वातावरण में प्रवेश कर रहे यान के संतुलन के अनुकूल हो।

नासा के वरिष्ठ तकनीकविद् डेविड मिलर ने कहा कि नासा लोगों और खासकर निर्माण से जुड़े लोगों को विभिन्न अभियानों के जरिए प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

CBI seeks more time to clarify queries posed by Delhi

कोल ब्लॉक आवंटन मामले में उद्योगपति कुमार मंगलम बिड़ला के खिलाफ मामला बंद करने के बाबत सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा पूछे गए सवालों के जवाब देने के लिए सीबीआइ ने कुछ और समय मांगा है। पिछली सुनवाई के दौरान कोर्ट ने पूछा था कि आखिर ऐसी कौन सी वजहें हैं जिनके तहत सीबीआइ को बिड़ला के खिलाफ मामला बंद करने की जल्दी है।

सीबीआइ का कहना है कि फिलहाल वह कोर्ट के आदेश पर कोई भी सप्लीमेंटरी फाइनल रिपोर्ट दायर नहीं कर रही है। मामले की सुनवाई के दौरान सीबीआइ ने कोर्ट को बताया था कि बिड़ला के स्वामित्व वाली हिंडाल्को के आवेदन को देखने वाली निरीक्षण समिति की बैठकों के मूल मिनट्स गायब हैं। कोर्ट ने कोयला ब्लॉक आवंटन मामलों में अपठनीय दस्तावेजों को डंप करने के सिलसिले में सीबीआइ को लताड़ लगाई थी।

Indian eves finish sixth in 10m Air Rifle Women's Team Finals

राही सरनोबत, अनीसा सैयद और हिना सिद्धू की भारतीय टीम ने 17वें एशियाई खेलों में निशानेबाजी में सोमवार को महिलाओं की 25 मी. स्पोर्ट्स पिस्टल निशानेबाजी में कांस्य पदक हासिल किया। भारत का निशानेबाजी में यह चौथा पदक है।

भारतीय महिला टीम 1729 अंकों के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर रही। स्पर्धा का स्वर्ण दक्षिण कोरिया ने 1748 अंकों के साथ तथा रजत चीन ने 1747 अंकों के साथ जीता। भारत की तरफ से राही ने 580 (289 तथा 291), अनीसा ने 577 (283 व 294) तथा हिना ने 572 (291 व 281) अंक बनाए।

भारतीय निशानेबाजों का इंचियोन एशियाई खेलों में शानदार प्रदर्शन जारी है। जीतू राय ने 50 मीटर फ्रीपिस्टल में स्वर्ण पदक जीता था। श्वेता चौधरी ने 10 मी. एयर पिस्टल में कांस्य पदक जीता इसके बाद जीतू, समरेश जंग और प्रकाश नानजप्पा की टीम ने 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल स्पर्धा में कांस्य पदक जीता था।

Chinese pitch seven tents in Chumar; Stand off continues

लद्दाख के चुमार क्षेत्र में पीपुल्स लिबरेशन आर्मी (पीएलए) द्वारा भारत की जमीन पर रविवार को सात और तंबू गाड़ने की घटना से सीमा पर गतिरोध और बढ़ गया है। चीन की सेना फिलहाल भारतीय सीमा से हटने का कोई संकेत नहीं दे रही है। 30-आर प्वाइंट पर लगभग सौ चीनी सैनिकों की मौजूदगी से विवाद गहरा गया है।

आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने बताया कि लेह से 300 किलोमीटर दूर चुमार में शनिवार को चीनी सैनिक वाहनों से घुस आए और भारतीय सैनिकों द्वारा क्षेत्र से जाने की बार-बार चेतावनी देने के बावजूद तंबू लगाना शुरू कर दिया। चुमार के हिलॉक में पहले से ही चीन के 35 सैनिक जमे हुए हैं। चीन के सैनिक खुद के पीछे हटने के साथ ही भारतीय सैनिकों की वापसी की भी मांग कर रहे हैं। लेकिन, भारतीय सैनिकों ने पीछे हटने से इन्कार कर दिया है। हालांकि, गुरुवार की रात चीन की सेना अपनी सीमा में लौट गई थी।

इस बीच, चीनी हेलीकॉप्टरों को गुरुवार को अपने सैनिकों के लिए खाने का पैकेट गिराते देखा गया, लेकिन इस दौरान भारतीय वायु सीमा का एक बार भी अतिक्रमण नहीं हुआ। बाद में चीनी सैनिक पैकेट उठाकर अपने तंबुओं में ले गए। रविवार को चीन के मजदूर भारतीय क्षेत्र में घुस आए। उन लोगों ने दावा किया कि उन्हें टाइबल तक सड़क बनाने का आदेश दिया गया है। टाइबल भारतीय क्षेत्र के पांच किलोमीटर अंदर स्थित है। भारतीय सैनिकों ने चीन के मजदूरों को यह कहते हुए वापस चले जाने को कहा कि ऐसा न करने से उनके खिलाफ भारतीय कानूनों के तहत मुकदमा चलाया जाएगा।

चुमार हिमाचल प्रदेश की सीमा से लगा हुआ लद्दाख का आखिरी गांव है। चीन द्वारा इस पर दावा किए जाने के चलते पिछले कुछ साल से यह दोनों देशों के बीच विवाद का कारण बना हुआ है। 30-आर प्वाइंट भारत के लिए सामरिक दृष्टि से बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। चीन के सैनिक अक्सर इस हिस्से में घुसपैठ करते रहते हैं, क्योंकि भारत ने यहां एक निगरानी पोस्ट बना रखा है। भारतीय सैनिक इस प्वाइंट से चीन अधिकृत क्षेत्र में दूर तक निगरानी रखते हैं।

Shiv sena again criticises bjp on maharatra assembly seat sharing issue in saamna

महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा चुनावों में सीटों के बंटवारे को लेकर भाजपा शिवसेना में खींचतान अब भी जारी है। शिवसेना ने अपने मुखपत्र सामना के जरिए जहां भाजपा को इस मुद्दे पर आइना दिखाने की कोशिश की है। वहीं धमकी भरे लहजे में यह भी बताने की कोशिश की है कि 'दिल्ली तुम्हारी है तो महाराष्ट्र हमारा है। इसमें कोई दखल हमें मंजूर नहीं'।

इस बीच भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अमित शाह ने शिवसेना प्रमुख से फोन पर बात कर इस मुद्दे पर लचीला रुख अपनाने की अपील की है। उन्होंने कहा है कि जिन सीटों पर भाजपा और शिवसेना कभी नहीं जीती हैं ऐसी करीब 59 सीटों पर विचार करना चाहिए। शाह ने उन्हें सीटों के बंटवारे पर पुनर्विचार करने और गठबंधन को बनाए रखने की भी अपील की है।

सामना के संपादकीय में शिवसेना ने भाजपा को खरी-खरी भी सुनाई है। इसमें शिवसेना प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे के हवाले से कहा गया है कि लोकसभा चुनाव में तुम्हारे मिशन 272 के लिए तन-मन-धन लगाकर काम किया। अब विधानसभा में हमारा भी मिशन 150 है। दिल्ली तुम संभालो, लेकिन महाराष्ट्र में हमें शासन करने दो।

शिवसेना ने भाजपा को कहा है गठबंधन का सम्मान करना चाहिए क्योंकि शिवसेना का महाराष्ट्र में मिशन 150 है। शिवसेना प्रमुख उद्धव ने कहा है कि जिस तरह से लोकसभा चुनावों में भाजपा के 'मिशन 272' में शिवसेना ने खलल नहीं डाला, उसी तरह भाजपा को अब महाराष्ट्र चुनाव में शिवसेना के 'मिशन 150' का सम्मान करना चाहिए।

सामना के संपादकीय में दर्ज शिवसेना के इन बयानों से गठबंधन की राजनीति कर रही भाजपा का गंभीर होना लाजमी है। दरअसल कई दिनों की माथापच्ची के बावजूद शिवसेना भाजपा को 119 सीटों से ज्यादा देने को तैयार नहीं जबकि भाजपा 130 सीटों पर अड़ी हुई है। पहले मुंबई और फिर दिल्ली में भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेताओं के बीच गठबंधन को लेकर विचार विमर्श के कई दौर हो चुके हैं, लेकिन अभी तक कोई अंतिम फैसला नहीं हो सका है।

आज भी इस बाबत एक बैठक होनी है जिसमें प्रधानमंत्री समेत पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अमित शाह और कई अन्य नेता इस मुद्दे पर फिर विचार करेंगे। हालांकि, सूत्र बताते हैं कि भाजपा में कई नेता गठबंधन बनाए रखने के पक्ष में हैं।

Mayawati nephew involved in corruption, but...

मेरठ आरटीओ ऑफिस में तैनात परिवहन अधिकारी दो महीने से दुविधा में हैं। परिवहन मंत्री दुर्गा प्रसाद ने यहां 12 वर्षो से तैनात दो क्लर्को पर लगे गंभीर आरोपों पर जांच कर रिपोर्ट मांगी है। दरअसल, ये दोनों क्लर्क भाई हैं और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री मायावती की बहन मुन्नी देवी के देवर के पुत्र बताए गए हैं। गृह जनपद मेरठ में ही 12 वर्षो से मलाईदार सीटों पर तैनात रहकर लाखों-करोड़ों की अवैध कमाई करने का आरोप इन पर है, लेकिन इसकी जांच पूरी नहीं हो पा रही है।

परिवहन आयुक्त और उप परिवहन आयुक्त बार-बार जवाब मांग रहे हैं, लेकिन मेरठ के अधिकारी मौन साधे हैं। प्रदेश सरकार के एक मंत्री के माध्यम से परिवहन मंत्री दुर्गा प्रसाद यादव को शिकायती पत्र प्राप्त कराया गया था। इसमें मेरठ में तैनात दो सगे भाई लिपिकों किशोर कुमार और सुभाष चंद पर गंभीर आरोप लगाकर इनका मेरठ से दूर तबादला कर जांच कराने की मांग की गई है।

शासन की नीति का हवाला देकर कहा गया है कि दो सगे भाई एक कार्यालय में नहीं रह सकते। दोनों अनुसूचित जाति के हैं, लेकिन दोनों की भर्ती नियमविरुद्ध सामान्य कोटे में हुई है। दोनों गृह जनपद में 12 साल से तैनात हैं। लोकसभा चुनाव 2014 में दोनों ने कार्यालय में रहकर बसपा के पक्ष में प्रचार किया तथा ट्रांसपोर्टरों पर दबाव बनाया। दोनों ऑफिस की महत्वपूर्ण सीटों पर जमकर अवैध कमाई कर रहे हैं।

परिवहन मंत्री के आदेश पर परिवहन आयुक्त ने उप परिवहन आयुक्त को जांच का आदेश दिया। हालांकि स्थानीय आफिस से उप परिवहन आयुक्त को दो महीने में भी जांच रिपोर्ट नहीं भेजी गई है, जबकि इसके कई रिमाइंडर भी उप परिवहन आयुक्त द्वारा भेजे जा चुके हैं। सूत्रों की मानें तो इन क्लर्को के खिलाफ रिपोर्ट देने की हिम्मत कोई अधिकारी नहीं कर रहा है।

सीएम ने पूछा कैसे जारी हुए हजारों परमिट

पिछले कुछ वर्षो में आरटीओ ऑफिस में मनमाने तरीके से काम हुआ। यहां तक की स्कूल बस, टेंपो, ट्रक व व्यवसायिक वाहनों के कई हजार परमिट आरटीए की बिना संस्तुति के ही जारी कर दिए गए। दैनिक जागरण ने इसका खुलासा किया तो मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने इस पर जांच बैठा दी है। उनके आदेश पर राज्य परिवहन प्राधिकरण सचिव परिवहन आयुक्त ने आरटीए सचिव से जवाब मांगा है। जिससे आरटीओ ऑफिस में हड़कंप मचा है।

दैनिक जागरण ने आरटीओ ऑफिस में पिछले कुछ समय में हुए मनमाने कार्यो का खुलासा किया था। पूर्व अफसरों ने संभागीय परिवहन प्राधिकरण से बिना अनुमति और बिना संस्तुति ही व्यवसायिक वाहनों के कई हजार परमिट जारी कर दिए थे। इस गंभीर अनियमितता का मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने संज्ञान लेकर परिवहन आयुक्त व प्रमुख सचिव को तलब कर लिया था।

मुख्यमंत्री के आदेश पर परिवहन आयुक्त ने राज्य परिवहन प्राधिकरण के सचिव के रूप में संभागीय परिवहन प्राधिकरण के सचिव (आरटीओ मेरठ) से जवाब तलब किया है। उन्होंने गत वर्षो में बिना अनुमति और संस्तुति जारी हुए परमिटों की सूची तलब की है तथा इसके जिम्मेदार लोगों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई का आदेश दिया है। एक सप्ताह में जवाब मांगा गया है। जिससे आरटीओ ऑफिस में हड़कंप मचा है।

आरटीओ ममता शर्मा ने अपने कार्यकाल में जारी हुए परमिट की सूची परिवहन आयुक्त को तुरंत उपलब्ध करा दी जबकि पुराने परमिटों की सूची के लिए समय मांगा है। उन्होंने बताया कि किस-किस अधिकारी के स्तर से यह लापरवाही की गई उसकी रिपोर्ट तैयार की जा रही है। समय से सूची न देने वाले कर्मियों के नाम भी परिवहन आयुक्त को भेज दिए जाएंगे।
